Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund timelines and amounts depend on the service type, service provider policy, and time of cancellation. Please read this policy carefully before making a booking.
1. General Policy
MR Planner facilitates bookings on behalf of airlines, hotels, cab operators, and tour operators. Cancellation and refund policies are governed primarily by the respective service provider's rules. MR Planner charges a convenience fee on most bookings, which is non-refundable in all cases.
Refunds, once initiated, are processed back to the original payment source. The actual credit timeline depends on your bank or payment provider.
2. Flight Cancellations
2.1 Cancellation by the Customer
Flight refunds depend on the fare type booked (Refundable, Partially Refundable, or Non-Refundable). General guidelines:
- More than 24 hours before departure: Refund as per airline policy minus cancellation charges and MR Planner convenience fee
- Within 24 hours of departure: Most fares attract higher cancellation charges; some fares are non-refundable
- No-show: Generally non-refundable. Taxes may be refunded as per airline policy
2.2 Cancellation by the Airline
If the airline cancels a flight, you are entitled to a full refund of the base fare and taxes. MR Planner will process such refunds within 7โ14 business days of receiving the refund from the airline. The convenience fee charged by MR Planner remains non-refundable.
2.3 Flight Rescheduling
Rescheduling charges are as per the airline fare rules. MR Planner charges an additional rescheduling fee of โน200โโน500 per passenger depending on the airline and route.
3. Hotel Cancellations
3.1 Free Cancellation Bookings
Hotels marked "Free Cancellation" allow cancellation without penalty up to the specified date (usually 24โ48 hours before check-in). Cancellations made after this window may attract a charge equivalent to 1 night's stay or the full booking amount.
3.2 Non-Refundable Hotel Bookings
Hotels booked under non-refundable or special discount rates cannot be cancelled or modified. No refund will be issued in such cases. These bookings are clearly marked at the time of booking.
3.3 Early Check-Out
If you check out before your booked end date, the hotel may charge for the remaining nights as per their policy. MR Planner is not liable for charges arising from early check-out.
4. Cab Cancellations
- Cancelled more than 1 hour before pickup: Full refund minus โน50 processing fee
- Cancelled within 1 hour of pickup: 50% refund of the booking amount
- Cancelled after driver has reached pickup point: No refund
- No-show by customer: No refund
If the cab is cancelled by the driver or operator, a full refund will be processed within 3โ5 business days.
5. Holiday Packages
5.1 Standard Packages
Cancellation charges for holiday packages are calculated based on the number of days before the travel start date:
- 30+ days before departure: 10% of total package cost
- 15โ29 days before departure: 25% of total package cost
- 7โ14 days before departure: 50% of total package cost
- Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total package cost (no refund)
5.2 Non-Refundable Components
Certain package components such as visa fees, travel insurance premiums, and adventure activity bookings may be non-refundable regardless of when the cancellation is made.
5.3 Force Majeure
In cases of natural disasters, government travel restrictions, pandemics, or other force majeure events, MR Planner will work with service providers to offer the best possible resolution, which may include credit vouchers, rescheduling, or partial refunds depending on provider policies.
6. Refund Processing Timeline
Once a cancellation is confirmed, refunds are typically processed as follows:
- Credit/Debit Card: 5โ10 business days
- UPI / Net Banking: 3โ5 business days
- MR Planner Wallet: Instant
- EMI Transactions: 7โ14 business days (subject to bank policy)
The refund will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of booking. MR Planner does not facilitate refunds to a different account or payment instrument.
7. MR Planner Convenience Fee
The convenience fee charged by MR Planner is non-refundable in all scenarios โ including cancellations initiated by you, the service provider, or due to force majeure events.
8. How to Cancel a Booking
You can cancel your booking through any of the following methods:

9. Disputes and Escalations
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly processed or not credited within the stated timeline, please contact our support team with your booking ID and payment reference. We aim to resolve all refund disputes within 7 business days.
For unresolved disputes, you may write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@mrplanner.com. We are committed to resolving all complaints fairly and promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
MR Planner reserves the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. The policy applicable to your booking is the one in effect at the time of booking confirmation. We encourage you to review this policy before making each booking.
